Have you checked out the weekly sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs? There's a talented team of stampers sharing their take on the sketches each Wednesday--and there's a very generous prize up for grabs, too . . .
This is my take on last week's sketch. I used the fun Prehistoric Pals set and coordinating SugarCuts Prehistoric Pals dies to make a birthday card. The set's dino and tree images were colored with Copic markers and cut with the matching dies, then adhered to the oval panel using foam tape. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment at the bottom of the oval panel in black ink.
The image panel was set at the top of a green panel adhered over a pair of teal dotted patterned paper strips. To bring in the orange from the dino image, I stamped another one of the set's sentiments on a narrow orange cardstock strip and adhered it across the bottom of the green panel.
You can find all of the challenge details on the SPD blog. You still have a few days to enter to win January's prize!
Materials Used:
Prehistoric Pals stamp set, SugarCuts Prehistoric Pals dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kiwi Kiss and Pumpkin Pie cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Aqua Mist, Tropical Teal, and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Lime Twist-Out of the Blue 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
This is adorable! Every time I see these images, I just smile and you've created a fabulous card with them.
