Sugar Pea Designs January Sweet Peek Week Day 1

Today is the start of Sweet Peek week at SugarPea Designs!  We're kicking off our peeks with a look at two new coffee themed stamp sets--Caffeine Addict and Espresso Yourself--and two coordinating SugarCuts die sets--Coffee To Go Cup and Coffee Words.  These sets are perfect for the start of the week, aren't they?

I paired the new Caffeine Addict set with both the new Coffee Words and Coffee To Go Cup dies for my mostly die cut design.  I started off by assembling the to go coffee cup.  The cup itself was die cut from white cardstock and inked around the edges with some distress ink to give it a little depth. I topped it with the lid and sleeve, then used foam tape to adhere it to a creamy colored cardstock panel over a contrasting strip of red cardstock.  I die cut the word "coffee" multiple times from dark brown cardstock, then stacked the three die cuts for a dimensional look.  The word was adhered to the card so it overlapped the cup just a bit.  I stamped the "love you more than" sentiment just above the die cut word in brown pigment ink.  The cup was accented with a red heart, die cut with one of the dies from the Heart Journal Card set, and a trio of cream enamel dots.  I adhered the finished panel to a dark brown card base.
