Here's my card for February's second Viva la Verve sketch. I used the layout for a chocolate themed design.
I used Verve's Chocolate Word die to cut the word "chocolate" three times from dark brown cardstock scraps. After stacking the words together, I glued them to a cream panel with rounded edges. The "I love you more than" sentiment from the Chocolate stamp set was stamped just above the layered die cuts in brown pigment ink.
I adhered the sentiment panel to a red dotted patterned paper panel with a large dark brown scalloped circle panel along the left edge. The sentiment panel was accented with a bunch of hearts die cut with the Heart Quartet die. The finished panel was adhered to a cream card base.
Materials Used:
Chocolate stamp set, Chocolate Word and Heart Quartet dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukinkeko/IMAGINE Crafts); Real Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Blossom Soup 6x6 paper pad (Jillibean Soup); scalloped circle die (Spellbinders); corner rounder; foam tape
Lori, this is such a cute card. I love the polka dot DSP and the scalloped circle, which reminds me of a chocolate cookie, and the sentiment finishes it off perfectly. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Lori! My first thought was a peanut butter cup! Now I'm hungry! LOL
