Here's my card for March's first Viva la Verve sketch. I used one of my favorite Verve sets, Teachers Count. I just ordered from Verve's new release and I have to admit that one (or two) of the new sets just might be my new favorites . . .
I started out by stamping the apple pair, doing the black outline first, then filling in the apples and leaves with red and green pigment inks. While the inks set, I worked on the cardfront. The trio of patterned papers are from an Echo Park paper pad. Before I put them pieces in place, I stamped the number block from the Teachers Count in white pigment ink on the upper right corner of the kraft card base. The mix of papers is a bit busier than what I'm usually comfortable with, but I think it works! The apples were cut with the matching Apples dies, then added to the sentiment panel using foam tape.
Materials Used:
Teachers Count stamp set, Apples die set (Verve Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Luxe Love Letter, Pistachio, and Wedding Dress and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Teacher's Pet 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); copper brads; foam tape
What a fun card, Lori! And, thank you so much for your kind words on TE blog. I really appreciate you! xo
