I put together this bold, celebratory card for this week's WPlus9 anniversary challenge to incorporate trends in your design. I squeezed in two trends here--metallic and sequins.
My card uses the new Whole Lotta' Happy stamp set and coordinating Whole Lotta' Happy dies. The "happy birthday" sentiment is stamped in metallic silver ink on a white panel. I die cut a pair of balloons to set next to the sentiment and arranged them on the panel, then added black twine strings to them. A few silver sequins were arranged around the balloons for even more sparkle.
The bottom of the panel is covered with a piece of red embossed cardstock. I adhered a narrow strip of silver paper at the top of the embossed panel to set it off from the rest of the design. The finished panel was adhered to a black card base. I love the mixing of the classic black, white, and red color scheme with the trendy metallic accents!
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: WPlus9 Whole Lotta' Happy stamp set and Whole Lotta' Happy dies, Lifestyle Crafts Jubilant embossing folder, Hemptique black twine, silver sequins, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
