Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the multicolored text background and the single bold, black “hello” on the cardfront.
Instead of repeating the word “hello” across my card, I used the word just once. I die cut it from black cardstock, then layered it on top of a few other die cut pieces cut from scrap cardstock to give it dimension. The word was adhered to a piece of multicolored striped patterned paper. I edged the bottom of the striped paper with a strip of black cardstock, then added another narrow strip of the striped paper along the bottom of the black cardstock. A trio of black enamel dots around the die cut word finished the design. I thought about using silver sequins, but in the end, decided I liked the bold black circles against the colorful background.
Materials Used:
Happy Hello die (My Favorite Things); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Michaels); Take Note 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); black enamel dots (My Mind’s Eye)
Such a pretty card, Lori! I love how your sentiment and strip pop against the background pattern!
ReplyDeleteLove that dp - it seems to vibrate on the page and it looks great grounded with the black sentiment! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week, Lori!
