Sneaky Peek--Your Number Is Up

Sneaky peeks continue today at The Cat’s Pajamas with a look at the new Your Number Is Up stamp set. I paired the set with the new Lean on Me set (check out Monday’s post on the TCP blog for more on this set) and the new CutUps Numbers Plate and All Framed Up 2 dies for this birthday card.

Happy 4th Birthday-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's PajamasAs soon as I saw the leaning PJ image from the new Lean on Me set, I thought he’d work perfectly paired up with the numbers from the Your Number Is Up set—or with the coordinating dies. As you can see, I went with the dies on this card, but the stamped number would work well, too.

I colored PJ with Copic markers and cut him out, then used foam tape to adhere him to a white circle. I stamped the “happy” sentiment from the Your Number Is Up set on an orange strip, cut with the new banner die from the CutUps Framed Up 2 die set—I trimmed down the sides to get a narrower strip that was a better fit for my sentiment, but used the die to cut the perfect points! The orange strip was adhered just beneath PJ. I die cut the number 4 from navy cardstock using the CutUps Numbers Plate die, then adhered it alongside PJ using foam tape. Don’t they look like they were made for each other?

I adhered the finished image panel to a light blue card base on top of a wide strip of colorful striped paper. The striped paper was edged with the CutUps Circus Border die for a fun touch. I finished the design with a trio of orange enamel dots.
