It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!
We hope you'll play along! The LEAD of this challenge
will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge! Please visit
the Curtain Call Challenge blog for all the challenge info and deadline.
For my take on the challenge, I took my inspiration from the photo's color scheme and the floral and dotted patterns on some of the pillows. The layout for my design comes from the current sketch at Match the Sketch, flipped to a portrait orientation.
I used the WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals stamps and coordinating dies along with blue, purple, and green inks to create a bunch of different flower and leaf images. After playing around with the arrangement for a while, I adhered the pieces to a blue cardstock panel with a strip of dotted blue patterned paper at the bottom. For dimension, some of the flowers were adhered with foam tape and some were tucked behind other blooms.
The "on your special day" sentiment was stamped beneath the line of images in purple ink. I used my MISTI to stamp it so that I could "double stamp" the text to help it stand out against the dotty background. The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base. I may go back and dot the centers of the flowers with a bit of Liquid Pearls for a bit of shimmer . . .
