It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!
We hope you'll play along! The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge! Please visit the Curtain Call Challenge blog for all the challenge info and deadline.
I took my inspiration from a few of the photo's elements--the color scheme, the woodgrain pattern, and the text's love theme. I combined those elements with the current sketch from Match the Sketch to create my design.
I made the large die cut "love" my focal image. The word was cut from both golden yellow cardstock and craft foam, then layered for dimension before being adhered to a woodgrain patterned paper panel. I stamped the word "you" from Winnie & Walter's The Big, the Bold, and the Happy stamp set beneath the word in black ink, then heat embossed it in black so it would stand out a bit from the background. I placed the panel along with another woodgrain panel and a pair of small golden yellow panels on a piece of light gray cardstock. To go with the love theme, I arranged two die cut pierced hearts behind the die cut word. I accented them with a tiny twine bow. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating blue card base.
