The Challenge 69-You Add Color to My Life

The Challenge is back with a new challenge!  Next up in our challenge rotation is a photo inspiration challenge.   I took my inspiration from both the quilt's heart design and rainbow-like color scheme.

The layout for my design comes from the current sketch at Sunday Stamps.  I replaced the round shape on the large stitched fishtail flag panel with a heart-shaped opening.  The negative space is filled in with a rainbow striped heart made from various cardstock scraps.  I love when I can use up some scraps! 

I used foam tape to adhere the stitched fishtail flag panel to a pale gray stitched rectangle die cut.  The "you add color to my life" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Stay Tuned stamp set was stamped just beneath the flag in darker gray pigment ink.  I adhered the finished panel to a gray card base.
