Introducing Seaside Summer
The introduction of Collection 4 from Clear and Simple Stamps continues today with the release of the Seaside Summer series. My projects today use images from the "cutesy" style sets in this series, but if that's not your style, there's also a bunch of sets in this series featuring more vintage styled images. All of the Seaside Summer series sets will be available starting today in the CSS store.
I used images from the Summer Fun set plus sentiments from the Beach Bum set for a fun beach party ensemble.
I used the set's sunglasses and flip flop images as the focal image on a clean and simple card. For the flip flops, I used the matching striped image to fill them in with a pattern. A tiny clear crystal dresses up the strap on the shoes. The sunglasses are stamped in black and the lenses are added in with a clear glitter pen. I stamped the "soak up the sun sentiment" on a Favor Flag die cut (more on that soon, I promise . . .). The pieces are arranged on a circle die cut that's set on a piece of hot pink and white dotted paper.
I used the new Bottle Tag die to dress up a small bottle of water. The hang tag's made in the same color scheme as the card and assembled with CSS's Simple Adhesive. I used the set's bottle image on the front along with a Favor Flag die cut stamped with the "keep cool" sentiment. The tag's filled with some lemonade mix packets.
And, no party's complete without a fun party favor, so I assembled an assortment of summer essentials inside a plastic sand pail. All of the items--flip flops, sunglasses, suntan lotion, shovel, and bubbles--came from the dollar section at my local Target. I used the large die from the Tags 1set to make a tag to tie to the pail's handle, again using the same color scheme and elements for a cohesive look.
Don't miss what the rest of the talented CSS design team and guests have created using the sets in the Seaside Summer series. Here's where to find them:
