It’s my turn to host the TCP Tuesday challenge and this for week’s color challenge, we’re going with one of my favorite color combinations—red, aqua, and kraft. I think these colors have a somewhat nautical feel and I guess my recent vacation at the beach was a big influence on both my color choice and my card!
And, here's my take on the colors. I used the sailing bunny from the Aye Aye Captain set along with this week's Retro Sketches sketch, flipped around a bit, for my card. The bunny's colored with Copic markers and cut out, then set on a patterned paper with a pair of aqua strips cut with the CutUps Wave die. I cut some clouds from white felt using the CutUps Cloud Border die and cut them apart so I could use one on the panel
I layered a kraft and red gingham panel over the aqua card base, then added the image panel on top using more foam tape. Some of TCP's linen thread is wrapped around the gingham strip. It's accented with a trio of red buttons. I stamped the set's "aye aye captain" sentiment just above the patterned paper strip in red ink.
I hope you’ll play along with this week’s challenge for your chance to win some Cat Cash. To enter, just upload your project to the InLinkz gallery on Alma’s blog or to our SCS gallery with the keyword TCPTUES218—and be sure to keep an eye out for the links to the rest of the Cat Pack’s projects that she’ll be posting throughout the week.
