TCP Tuesday 225-Hiya Honey

For this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge, Amy’s drawn up a great sketch. I paired the sketch with the Honey Bear set for this sweet card.

I colored Honey Bear with Copic markers, then cut him out and set him aside while I worked on an arrangement for the panels of paper behind him. I started with the honeycomb pattern on top, then added solid yellow for the large panel behind the bear and a narrow strip with a small scale heart pattern next to it. A kraft strip, topped with a red strip cut with the CutUps Circus Border die, fills in the space at the bottom of the card.

I attached the pieces to a white cardstock panel (completely hidden by the pieces) and machine stitched along the borders between the different pieces to pull them all together before layering the stitched piece on a red card base. The bear’s adhered to the card with some foam tape. I stamped the set’s “hiya honey” sentiment next to the bear’s waving hand.
