You Color My World
As promised, I’m back today with a look at more of the Collection 8 release from Clear and Simple Stamps. Today we’re showing off the stamps and dies in the Rag Doll series. As always, these rag dolls are too cute! I made a little gift set featuring the new Rag Doll Emma: Color stamp and die combo and a coordinating sweet treat.
The layout for the card comes from this week’s sketch at Retro Sketches. I die cut the rag doll image, then stamped the matching image on the die cut and colored it with Copic markers. I found some rainbow colored patterned paper to use for the large panel behind the image, then added two coordinating solid cardstock strips over the patterned paper, picking up the colors I used on the rag doll’s dress. The colored image is layered on top, using foam tape for dimension. The “you color my world” sentiment is stamped at the end of one of the cardstock strips.
For the treat, I used CSS’s Party Favor 6 die, which is shaped like a traditional crayon box. I die cut the box from yellow cardstock, then used one of the Shapes: Circles dies to cut a window opening in the front. After backing the opening with some acetate, I assembled the box with CSS’s Simple Adhesive. To decorate the box, I added a strip of the same patterned paper as I used on the card just underneath the window. The box is filled with colorful Skittles candies.
