It's time for this week's Color Throwdown! Tammy is our hostess this week and she's chosen a color scheme inspired by some vintage book pages. The teacher in me just loves those pictures!
I used the colors along with a pair of Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty challenges to create this fun card. I love the Avery Elle Aim High set and coordinating dies! The set's "good times are ahead" sentiment was stamped in gray ink on a round panel. I adhered the round panel to a Bermuda Bay panel that I topped with paper strips, mixing patterns and solids for interest. After trimming the edge of the round panel so that it was flush with the right edge of the Bermuda Bay panel, I layered it on to a gray card base. I topped the sentiment panel with a pair of die cut arrows, then added a few sparkly silver sequins as an accent.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD304.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our new August guestie, the talented Jodi Collins, and this week’s guest star stamper, Jane Taylor.
