It's time for another Color Throwdown! This week we're featuring a pretty holiday inspired color combination. I have to admit that this aqua, red, and kraft combo is one of my very favorites and adding silver to the mix makes it even better!
I combined the colors with this week's sketch from Retro Sketches and the sweet Avery Elle Storybook stamps and dies. I die cut the deer image from kraft cardstock and set it on an aqua patterned paper panel using dimensional dots. It's accented with a trio of white sequins.
I ran a strip of silver washi tape along the bottom of a kraft card base, then added the aqua and red cardstock panels. The finished image panel was adhered on top. I stamped the set's "make a wish" sentiment in black pigment ink on a silver fishtail flag strip.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD320. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and our November guestie, Petra Swart.
