The Cat's Pajamas November Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Release Blog Hop at The Cat's Pajamas!  You should have arrived here from Nancy's blog.  If not, be sure to head over there so you don't miss a thing!  Today we're showing off the new release, which includes seven new stamp sets, four new CutUps die sets, and two new Cutables cut (or print and cut) files.  And, we're officially starting off the holiday season with TCP's weeklong Black Friday sale, so it's a great time to add some new TCP sets--and some old favorites--to your collection.

Today is also the start of a new TCP Tuesday color challenge, hosted by Nancy.  The colors are kraft, red, and black--perfect for a classic holiday design!  I used the new Handmade for You stamp set and the versatile Cutables K-Cup CarryAll cut file for my project.

I cut the K-cup caddy base from kraft cardstock, then used a festive dotted paper for the panels.  I dressed it up with the round icon image from the Handmade for You set.  The candy cane image looks great stamped in red!  I matted it with a slightly larger black circle to set it off from the red panel, then adhered it to the caddy over a kraft strip.  The caddy's handles were tied with an elegant black satin ribbon.  My caddy is filled with K-Cups, but there are so many possibilities for this caddy!

I made a 4 1/4" square card to go with the caddy.  I didn't have much more of the red dotted patterned paper, so I fashioned my own with TCP's CutUps Dots die.  I cut the dots out of red cardstock, then backed the cut piece with white cardstock.  After rounding the panel's top corners, I adhered it to a kraft card base.  I used the same icon image on the card as I did on the caddy to tie the pieces together.

I hope you'll hop along with us.  Add your project using TCP stamps and/or dies to the linky widget on the TCP blog for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher.  You have a whole month to play along, so there's no excuse not to join us!  Your next stop on the hop is Noelle.  You don't want to miss what she's got to share with you!

  2. Wow, I had no idea that the polka dot paper wasn't used on both projects when looking at the first picture. What a smart way to do the matching card, and the die cut totally adds texture, which I love!
