Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 255-HB2U

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  I'm fighting yet another cold (it seems the only thing that kindergarten students willingly share is their germs . . .), so I kept this one pretty simple.

HB2U card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-dies from My Favorite Things
I started off with a bold red-orange card base.  I adhered a strip of contrasting navy cardstock to the left edge, then added a piece of number patterned paper next to it.  I die cut the HB2U tag from the Tag Talk die set from My
Favorite Things from navy cardstock.  The negative spaces were filled in with a strip of red cardstock so it would stand out against the patterned paper.  After threading the tag with a bit of cream twill, I used foam tape to adhere the it to the cardfront.  I think this one will make a great masculine birthday card for my stash!

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
