Mojo Monday 459-Geared Up for Fun
Happy Monday! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch. I colored up a robot image from Verve's Geared Up stamp set and made it the focal image of this card that's perfect for a little boy.
I stamped the robot on a pierced rectangle panel, then used a bunch of different gray Copic markers to color the robot, leaving the hat uncolored until I figured out the combination of papers I wanted to use on the cardfront. After settling on the mix of stars, dots and plaid you see here, I colored the hat with coordinating blue, orange, and yellow markers. The paper strips were arranged on an orange cardstock panel, then the colored image was added on top. I stamped the set's "geared up for fun" in silver ink on an orange panel, then heat embossed it in silver for an extra pop. After adding it to the panel, I accented it with a bunch of yellow and orange enamel dots. They seemed like a good fit with the robot image. I adhered the finished panel to a coordinating yellow card base.
Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time. A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along. Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch! You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
