Family Fun

Here are two more cards featuring the new DoodleFactory baby and parent images from Starving Artistamps. I made this fun card based on this week's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You. I thought the sketch's star panel would be a great match for the Super Dad image from the DoodleFactory Super Parents set.

I used my Slice to cut out the large gold star on the front of the card. The more I use this little machine, the more I'm liking it! I stamped the "super dad" sentiment over the sparkly star using black ink.

The star is layered on a space-themed patterned paper panel. I layered the panel on a red mat, then on a blue cardfront. I picked red and blue to match the colors in my Super Dad image. I colored Super Dad with Copic markers. I added a gold star brad to the emblem on the dad's outfit as a fun detail. He's attached to the panel with dimensionals.

I am having so much fun with the trio of Izzy images from the DoodleFactory Oh Baby! set. This card features the crying Izzy image on this week's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge sketch.

I colored Izzy with Copic markers. The sentiment--a perfect match for a teary baby--is stamped beneath Izzy in green ink. I accented it with a row of paper piercing underneath.

The patterned paper on the cardfront is from a package of baby themed papers I found a while ago in Target's dollar spot. I broke the panel up a little by adding a strip of Lemon Tart cardstock with a piece of dotted green ribbon around it. The image panel is layered over all of this. I added a trio of soft blue buttons to the upper left corner of the image panel to finish the card.
