Nuts!

***See this post for my current blog candy giveaway.***

I made this fun interactive spinner card for this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge using images from the DoodleFactory Into the Woods set from Starving Artistamps.

When I first saw the squirrel image (named Squip) with its outstretched hands, I thought that it could be juggling some acorns. The spinner card is a perfect way to bring this idea to life! After stamping the image, I used a craft knife to cut the curved path between Squip's hands. I stamped the acorn images several times to form a cluster, then attached the clustered acorns to the spinner mechanism above the Squip's head. Squip's definitely got his hands full now!

Squip is colored with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo, but I used some sparkly fluff on his belly. The sky and grass were done by sponging on some ink. I added the coordinating "I'm nuts about you!" sentiment to finish the card. I ended up flipping the position of the sentiment to the opposite side of the image (lower left instead of lower right corner) to better fit my image. So cute!
