Bee My Honey
Here's my card for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this one. I used pretty much the same layout for my version, minus a few layers and with the focal image flipped to the other side of the card--it just looked better to me this way with the images I used.
I used the cute bee image from the Chicken Girl Designs Hugs from a Bug stamp set from i {heart} papers. The bee's holding a flower in its hand (from the Into the Forest set, also from Chicken Girl Designs--the one in this set was bigger than I wanted to use here). I colored the bee with Copic markers and added some Stickles to the wings. The bee's cut out using a Nestabilities Labels 2 die and layered on a slightly larger mat.
The cardfront is covered with some Piggy Tales striped paper. I paired the stripes with a panel embossed with the QuicKutz Rings embossing folder--love circles and stripes together! I wrapped a piece of green ribbon around the panel before attaching it to the cardfront. The sentiment is cut out using the middle-sized die from the Labels Trio set.
Be sure to check out my blog candy post here for a chance to win a Chicken Girl Designs stamp set for yourself. I'll pick a winner on Monday night and post the winner on Tuesday morning with my IHP challenge card . . .
