Tweet Sketch

***Check out the post below for a chance to win some fun blog candy!***

Susanna's hosting this week's sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet. She shared a fun sketch based on one of her favorite cards from this week. I just got my new DoodleFactory Into the Woods stamp set from Starving Artistamps, so I inked it up to create an outdoor scene for my card for the sketch.

The scene is colored using Copic markers. I added the sky with some sponged on ink. The nest image was stamped on a scrap of paper, colored, then cut out and added to the scene with dimensionals. I tied a coordinating piece of satin ribbon around the card and accented the ribbon with a button embellished bow. I just can't get enough of these!

Since I don't find myself turning to them often, I intended to stretch myself and use letter stickers like Susanna did in her sample for the sketch. But, I found that my image panel was too wide for any of the letter stickers I had on hand to fit. So, I used one of the coordinating sentiments from the Woods Sentiments set instead to complete the card. It's stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on some dotted patterned paper.

I hope you'll play along with our sketch challenge this week. If you do, upload to Paper Craft Planet using the keyword sk082209 so your card can be added to this week's gallery. One card from the gallery will be selected to be featured in an upcoming PCP newsletter.
