Monster Hugs

Here's a mostly scrappy card inspired by the latest Techno Stamper sketch challenge and made with supplies from i {heart} papers. I paired some fun papers and elements from an October Afternoon Collection Kit with an exclusive IHP Chicken Girl Design stamp set to create this bright, fun card.

I built my card around the big green monster die cut piece from the Night Light Collection Kit. He's layered on a panel of patterned paper from the collection kit that's matted with a fun shaped die cut. I love the bold colors and patterns in this paper and pulled a few of the different colors from the pattern for my card.

I embossed a blue panel with a QuicKutz polka dot embossing folder and attached a piece of knotted red twill to the panel before layering it on the card base. The final element was the sentiment from the Chicken Girl Design Silly Monsters stamp set, stamped in black ink on a yellow panel. The images and sentiments in this set are a great match for the Night Light Kit.

Materials Used:

other: Crushed Curry, Real Red, and Pacific Point cardstock, circle punches, Top Note die (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
