Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #92-Have a Rockin' Day

It’s time for another of Mercy’s fabulous sketches. I’ve been having a great time playing along with Mercy and her Muses this month. Here’s the sketch we’ll be using this week.

And, here’s my version using the MP3 Darling set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I stamped the Darling image on a white oval and used Copic markers to color her in.

I used some fun star patterned paper for the panel on the cardfront. A strip of red ribbon runs across the front of the card with a star border punched strip slipped underneath it. I added the set’s “have a rockin’ day” sentiment to the ribbon with black ink. As an accent, I inked a white chipboard star with an open center with teal ink and attached it to the top of the image panel. The center’s filled in with a tiny button threaded with a little red and white baker’s twine.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Muses have created using this sketch. Here’s where to find them:

Cindy Haffner
Jackie Pedro
Jessica Diedrich
Julie Lacey
Pam Speidel

And, be sure to stop by and check out the first day of the two day Perfect Pair Blog Hop featuring products from Clear and Simple Stamps and Creative Cuts & More. DT members from both companies will be showing creative ways to use stamps and die cuts together. There will be prizes up for grabs, too. You can start off here for all the details. I’ll have a bunch of projects to share tomorrow for day two of the hop.
