TCP Tuesday 178-Mwahh!

Jenny is our hostess for this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge and she’s brought us a fun trio of colors. Plum purple, pear green, and smokey grey are perfect for Halloween cards, so that’s what I cooked up for today.

I used the zombie image from the Mwah! set, coloring him with Copic markers to match the challenge colors. The rest of the card’s pretty simple. It follows this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I used a grid patterned paper to cover most of the cardfront and added a strip of plumy purple cardstock across the paper to break up the pattern. The purple cardstock is matted on a gray strip that was punched along the bottom with my spider web border punch and misted with a little shimmer spray for a little sparkle, kind of like a real spider web.

After setting the image in place, I added the layered sentiment panel. I didn’t plan ahead enough and when I got to stamping the “mwahh!,” it didn’t fit on the two circles I’d already punched out. So, I went to plan B—stamping the sentiment on a scrap of green cardstock, cutting it out, and setting it across the circles. Fits perfectly that way!

If you like the colors, we'd love it if you'd play along with us in this week's challenge. One lucky participant in this week’s challenge who uploads their card to the guestbook on Alma’s blog will be the recipient of the weekly Cat Cash prize. And, be sure to stop by Alma’s blog throughout the week for links to the Cat Pack’s creations using these colors.
