My card's design is based on the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. The acorn is colored with Copic markers and cut out, then attached to a vanilla panel with dimensional dots. For some texture, I ran a strip of brown faux suede ribbon beneath the image and added the set’s “nutty for you” sentiment at the end of the ribbon on a pair of layered circles.
I used a pair of patterned papers from a My Mind’s Eye paper pad for the two panels on the cardfront. Each panel is layered on a piece of Early Espresso—the deep, dark brown really makes the colors pop—then set on a Summer Sun panel. I layered the panel on an Early Espresso card base, adding a piece of plain white cardstock inside for writing a message.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD178. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team:
