Watch Where You're Pointing That Thing!
***Scroll down to the post below to see my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.***
Here's my card for this week's SCS sketch challenge. I went with a love-themed card featuring that adorable bunny from The Cat's Pajamas turned Cupid Feelin' Cupidy set in a pink color scheme.
I colored the bunny in shades of brown, then added white flock to its tail and some clear glitter to its wings before cutting it out. It's set on a bright pink mat with foam tape, leaving enough room to stamp the set's fun "watch where you're pointing that thing!" sentiment underneath it.
I used two coordinating patterned papers from a Valentine's themed paper pad for the other panels on the card--one with a subtle grid pattern for the small tilted panel and one with a small scaled heart pattern to cover the top of the pink card base. Instead of a round element at the bottom of the panels, I used a white CutUps Heart Rosette die cut, left flat (it's versatile like that!) as an accent. A bold strip of ribbon runs across the card, giving the panels a finished edge.
And, while we're on the subject of Valentine's Day, don't forget about the TCP Valentine Customer Blog Hop. Link up your Valentine project using TCP stamps and/or CutUps die on the sidebar of Alma's blog for a chance to win a fabulous Cat Cash prize.
Materials Used:
Feelin' Cupidy stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Heart Rosette die (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bubblegum Pink cardstock (Gina K Designs); Melon Mambo cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin' Up!); Sweet Cakes 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); pink grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape
