CSS Group Project-Simply Stated

For this month’s group project, the Clear and Simple Stamps design team is sharing card ideas that feature just words or sentiments as the focal image. Since today’s Valentine’s Day, I made a simple card to mark the day by combining sentiments from a few sets from the Little Critter collection.

I used the “be” from the Little Critters Too set (omitting the second “e” from the word "bee") along with word “mine” from the Critters Sentiments set to stamp “be mine” on a white circle. The letters are filled in with several different Copic markers to create a gradient effect. If you like the style of these letters, you can find 2 whole sets of them--one solid, one outline--in the Alpha Duo set.

The colored panel is layered on a red circle, then set on the white cardfront on top of a black strip. I added a red crystal heart at the top of the panel, then attached a trio of red crystals at the end of the black strip. I can see replicating this design with other sentiments and coordinating icons to make up a bunch of quick cards for lots of occasions.

Don’t miss what the rest of the CSS team has created for this month’s challenge. Here’s where to find them:
