Color Throwdown 179-Lots of These

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Kristin’s brought us a beautiful color combo to try—Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake. I made a sweet love themed card using the colors and a coordinating stamp and die set from Lil’ Inker Designs.

I built the card on a pale pink and cream checked patterned paper. The paper is machine stitched around the edges and set on a matching pink card base. I wrapped a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock around the bottom of the card, adding a decorative scalloped Poppy Parade strip to the bottom for a pop of color.

I die cut a bunch of the perforated edge hearts from pink and red and attached them to the kraft strip, layering the hearts for interest. The “for you, lots of these” sentiment is stamped next to the the hearts in a shiny red ink—it was the closest I could find in my collection to match Poppy Parade. Now that I look at it again, I kind of like the little sparkly touch! A kraft button, tied with a little pink baker’s twine, wraps things up nicely.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD179. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team:
