TCP Tuesday 196-You Make My Heart Spin
This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge is an inspiration challenge based on this fun photo collage provided by Jen. I loved the rainbow—ish elements and used that as a starting point for my card. I ended up with a card that's perfect for Valentine's Day.
I used the pinwheel-toting PJ the Bear image from the What a Blast set as my focal image. PJ’s colored with Copic markers and cut out. I replaced the line art pinwheel in the image with a 3-d one, courtesy of the CutUps Pinwheel die. The pinwheel’s cut from a piece of double sided designer paper so that there’s a fun pattern visible on the entire pinwheel. I set PJ on a little scene with a CutUps Grass Border die bottom and a single felt cloud cut from a CutUps Cloud Border strip.
I cut a bunch of cardstock scraps into uniformly sized strips, then layered them on a black panel. After machine stitching along the left edge, I set the rainbow strip on a white card base. The image panel is layered over the right side of the strip. I stamped the set’s “You make my heart spin” sentiment underneath the image panel in red ink.
