TCP Tuesday 200!
Yes, that's right--it's the 200th TCP Tuesday challenge! And reaching a big number like 200 is cause for celebration, isn’t it? To mark the occasion, Leigh’s created a fabulous sketch for us to play with this week—and we're celebrating in true Cat's Pajamas style with a free giveaway and a fabulous prize up for grabs, too. We are giving away a fancy Cat's Pajamas Sketch Book featuring virtually every sketch challenge in TCP history! It's a great reference to get those creative juices flowing. Page after Page of sketch goodness! Just go HERE to download your copy for FREE.
But that's not all. Comment on any of The Cat Packers blog posts that feature our 200th TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge by Tuesday, March 13 and you could WIN our complete NEW release! The more times you comment, the better your chance to win. Alma will announce the winner on her blog on Wednesday, March 14.
Here’s my take on the sketch. It’s a bit more “scrappy” than my usual designs and I felt a little out of my comfort zone on this one, but I think it came out okay in the end. I replaced the button element near the bottom of the sketch with a stamped image—the adorable butterfly-pursuing bunny from the Flutter By set. The bunny is colored with Copic markers and cut out. I attached it to the card with foam tape.
The dotted panel beneath the bunny is filled with a mix of yellow butterflies, cut with the Mini Exotic Butterflies dies, and fluffy felt clouds, made by cutting apart a strip of the CutUps Cloud Border die. The butterflies are just attached at their centers so I could fold up their wings so it looks like they’re flying—maybe trying to elude capture! The panel’s bottom edge is cut with the CutUps Inside Pinking Border die. There was just enough room above the decorative edge to add the set’s “you still give me butterflies” sentiment to the panel.
Don't forget to comment on the Cat Pack's posts featuring this week's sketch for your chance to win our next release. Alma will be sharing links to the posts on her blog this week, so be sure to check in.
