Color Throwdown 187-Happy Hour

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Joan’s brought us a yummy color combination to try—Lavender Lace, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip. I took my inspiration from both the photo’s colors and drink theme to create a fun card using the new Get Outta Town set from Paper Smooches and this week’s sketch from Just Us Girls.

I colored the tropical drink image with Copic markers to match the challenge colors and accented the pretty purple flower with a tiny self-adhesive pearl at the center. After covering a So Saffron card base with a piece of coordinating dotted patterned paper, I attached a strip of Certainly Celery cardstock to the cardfront and wrapped the strip with a piece of sheer green ribbon with white dots. The colored image is set over this strip and accented with a small piece of knotted ribbon placed at the bottom of the image. I had just enough room to stamp the set’s “it’s happy hour somewhere” sentiment next to the image panel.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD187. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team:
