TCP Tuesday 208-Salud
It’s my turn to host the TCP Tuesday challenge and this for week’s color challenge, we’re going with a festive red, gold, and lime green color combination, inspired by the upcoming Cinco de Mayo holiday. I mixed one of the new TCP releases with an older set for this fun clean and simple design.
I cut out a felt mustache using one of the new CutUps Mustaches dies and topped with a festively colored sombrero from the Salud set. The “salud!” sentiment is stamped underneath the pair in red ink. I layered the panel on a red pinking edged circle for a contrasting pop of color.
I layered the image panel over a lime and white ric rac patterned paper strip with a notched end. The strip’s set on a gold dot embossed panel, again layered on a red mat for a nice contrast. I used the same red/gold combination on the strip I set across the card base, then layered the panel on top at an angle.
I hope you’ll play along with this week’s challenge for your chance to win some Cat Cash. Just upload your project to the photo album on Alma’s blog to enter—and be sure to keep an eye out for the links to the rest of the Cat Pack’s projects that she’ll be posting throughout the week.
