TCP Tuesday 219-You Make my Heart Spin
This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge from Susan is a stamp and die challenge to use one of TCP’s bear images along with either the Apron Border or Queen of Hearts CutUps die. I went with the sweet bear from What a Blast and the Queen of Hearts die—plus one other—on my card for the challenge.
I stamped the bear image on white cardstock, purposely omitting the pinwheel at the top of the stick in the bear’s hand. Once I’d colored the image, I cut it out and set it on a blue patterned paper circle, then added a patterned paper pinwheel made with the smaller of the two dies from the Pinwheels CutUps set.
The rest of the card’s pretty simple. I used two coordinating papers from a 6x6 paper pad—a floral pattern to cover most of the cardfront and a dotted pattern for the strip across the center of the card—along with a hand-cut notch-ended panel for my layout. The dotted paper strip is edged with the heart patterned piece from the Queen of Hearts CutUps die. I matted the image panel on the same color cardstock as I used for the die cut strip, then added the bear to the card. The set’s “you make my heart spin” sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the card in red ink.
For all the details on the challenge, check out the TCP forum on SCS or Alma’s blog. One lucky player from this week’s challenge will win a Cat Cash prize . . .

ReplyDeleteSuch a bright and happy card. Love how the circle of blue is like a cool, fresh sip of water.
