You're a Superstar
Here’s my card for this week’s Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge to use lots of dots. I used the Moonlight Whispers Superstar image along with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for the design.
I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out. The stars in her hair and on her outfit are filled in with Tiara Glitz Stickles for a fun sparkle. I used foam tape to attach the colored image to a dot embossed circle.
The red card base is colored with a panel of dotted patterned paper. Each dot has a star inside it, so it was a nice match for the image. I used some small blue scraps to make the little notch-ended strips across the bottom of the panel. A long light blue scrap, layered with a silver notch-ended panel sits behind the image panel. I stamped the set’s “you’re a superstar” sentiment in red ink on a circle panel and set it on the cardfront with a glittery chipboard star accent.
Materials Used:
Moonlight Whispers Superstar stamp set (Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps); Marshmallow cardstock (Bazzill); Memento Tuxedo Black and Lady Bug inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Marina Mist, Real Red, and Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); shimmery silver paper, silver glittered chipboard star (Recollections); Red, White, & Blue 6x6 paper pad (WeRMemory Keepers; circle dies (Spellbinders); Fishtail Stax die (My Favorite Things); Polka Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); Tiara Glitz Stickles (Ranger); foam tape
