TCP Tuesday 221-Catch My Drift
For this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge, we’re creating projects based on this fun inspiration photo. Aren’t the bold, bright colors great?
Here’s my take on the challenge using the current I Spy Sketches challenge for the card’s layout. Taking a cue from the balloon bouquet in the inspiration photo, I used the bear with balloons from the Catch My Drift set as my focal image. The bear and balloons are colored with Copic markers and cut out. I used foam tape to attach the bear to a strip of turquoise cardstock for a sky background. The panel is matted on a bright pink strip, then set on a polka dotted yellow panel. The “catch my drift” sentiment is stamped on a pale yellow strip and set underneath the bear image.
For all the details on this week’s challenge and how you can play along to be eligible to win this week’s Cat Cash prize, stop by Alma’s blog or the TCP forum on SCS.
Materials Used:
Catch my Drift stamp set, Neenah white cardstock (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Tempting Turquoise, Barely Banana, and Pixie Pink cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Coconut Lime Soup-Straw Mushrooms designer paper (Jillibean Soup); white felt; foam tape
