Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. It took me a little while to figure out what I’d do with all the circles clustered around the edge of the big circle panel, but once I stopped thinking about it so literally, the card came together pretty quickly.
I used the Eiffel Tower from the Paris Nouveau set as my focal image. It’s stamped in dark gray ink on pale gray cardstock and cut out, then attached to the circle panel with foam tape. I stamped the set’s “merci” sentiment on the circle in the same gray ink.
The panel is set on a card base covered with a pair of papers from a Teresa Collins paper pad. I went with the same yellow and gray combination as I used on last week’s sketch. Once the panels were in place, I cut apart a clear crystal flourish and added that peeking out from underneath both sides of the tower. The flourish was perfect for the clustered elements, filling the space with some extra elegance!
