Clear and Simple Stamps Group Project: Seasonal Inspiration

For today's Clear and Simple Stamps group project, each designer is sharing a project inspired by this collection of seasonal photos.  My project represents spring.  After the long, dark days of winter, I'm always happy to see spring arrive with its warmer weather and more sunlight. And, after being cooped up inside all winter, it's nice to be able to take Chloe the cutie puppy out for long walks again!

Here's my spring inspired card. I used the Well Preserved Jars:  Small stamp set to create my focal image--a jar filled with a bouquet of tulips.  The tulips are colored with Copic markers in a bright, cheery yellow.  I used my Bow Easy to make a pretty green satin bow to accent the image.

The cut out image is layered on a paper doily with a green cardstock circle at the center.  The doily is adhered to a yellow card base with a strip of green designer paper along the bottom.  I stamped the "happy birthday to you" sentiment from the Cloudy Day Sentiments set in green ink on a Favor Flag die cut and added that to the card, tucking the right end of the strip underneath the stamped jar.

Be sure to check out how the rest of the CSS design team was inspired by the seasons.  Here's where to find them:
