Life Is a Beach

Today kicks off our much-anticipated Sneaky Peek week for next week’s release from The Cat’s Pajamas. We’ve got a bunch of great new stamp sets and dies coming your way! Today we’re showing off the new Life Is a Beach set, featuring everyone’s favorite big-eared bunny.

I made a pretty clean and simple design using the sunbathing bunny as my focal image. The bunny’s stamped on a white panel and colored with Copic markers. I paper pieced the beach umbrella with scraps of yellow chevron patterned paper and a teeny, tiny bit of silver paper at the top. For some texture, I used some brown flock on the coconut shell drink. The sky and sand around the bunny were created with distress inks and a sponge applicator.

I stamped the set’s “life is a beach” sentiment on a yellow circle, then used foam tape to adhere the stamped circle to a slightly larger orange circle to make a sun-like panel. I used a bit more foam tape to attach it to the upper left hand corner of the panel. After wrapping the panel with some orange satin ribbon, I layered it on an orange mat, then on a golden yellow card base.

Here are the rest of the Cat Pack members sharing peeks with you today. I’ll be back with another peek tomorrow morning . . .
