Paper Smooches SPARKS May Trend Watch Challenge

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Trend Watch challenge based on the nautical themed photo seen above. I used the Wicked Nauticool set along with the matching Nauticool dies to put this card together.

I used the set’s anchor as my focal image. I die cut the shape from white cardstock, then stamped the matching solid image on the die cut piece in gray ink. I used dimensional dots to attach it to a layered circle panel. The circle’s attached to a white panel over a star patterned paper strip edged with some red and white striped washi tape. I stamped the “you anchor me” sentiment on a red fishtail flag strip and added that to the panel so it extended out from underneath the anchor. A red button, tied with some natural twine, balances out the design.
