Hiya Honey

The theme for this month’s TCP Tuesday challenge is “the more the merrier.” The challenge is to pile it on your card—think lots of layers and embellishments. This is my second take on the challenge. It was a little easier to put my card together this time. Maybe this pile it on thing is growing on me . . .

I used the current Deconstructed Sketch as a starting point for my design. Sweet PJ Bear from the Show Me the Magic set is my focal image. I colored PJ and his honey pot with Copic markers and cut out the colored image. It’s adhered to a pale blue panel with foam tape.

PJ is set over a strawberry patterned panel covered with a trio of patterned notch-ended strips and a red decorative circle made with the CutUps Heart Rosette die. All of the patterned papers are from different manufacturers and lines—it took a while to come up with a combination I liked. Once all the pieces were in place, I stamped the “hiya honey” sentiment from the Honey Bear set on one of the notch-ended strips. For a little sparkle, I added a clear crystal flourish extending out from PJ’s honey pot.

You can find all of the details on this month’s challenge here.
