Say it with Stationery

For this month’s group project, the Clear and Simple Stamps design team has created unique stationery sets. My set uses the Writer’s Desk and Writer’s Desk Too stamp sets along with some custom made packaging and accessories.

The cards are very simple. I stamped the typewriter image in brown ink on a cream panel, then filled in the blank paper in the typewriter with a different sentiment on each card, using gray ink to get a faded, typewritten look. The cream panel is adhered to a quarter sheet of kraft paper to finish the note card.

I made custom stamped envelope liners to go with the notecards using the A2 Envie Liner die and the typewriter key style stamps from the Writer’s Desk set. I lined up the letters on my clear block, using the block’s grid as a guide for placement, then repeatedly stamped the letters on the kraft die cut envelope liner using brown ink. The liners are tucked inside of CSS’s cream envelopes for a nice, unified look.

To hold the cards, I used a piece of kraft cardstock to make a simple flip top box. The box came together quickly with a few cuts and scores and a little of CSS’s Simple Adhesive. I used the typewriter key style stamps again to make a panel to decorate the box top. In keeping with the typewriter/office theme, I knotted a piece of ribbon at the top of a paper clip and clipped it to the stamped panel as an embellishment.

To round out the gift set, I die cut the Party Favor 7 box from kraft cardstock. I assembled the box and topped it with a cream strip, again stamped with the typewriter key style stamps, then filled it with some pencils so the recipient will have everything needed to use the cards.
