Shoot for the Stars
Here’s my card for this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches. I used a sentiment and a coordinating die cut piece to put this fun design together.
The sentiment comes from the Right on Target set from My Favorite Things. I stamped it in dark aqua ink on a pale aqua panel, then added a die cut arrow, made with MFT’s Feathers and Arrows Die-namics dies, right underneath the words. After using a corner rounder on one edge of the sentiment panel, I added it to a turquoise card base over a piece of star patterned paper.
For some texture, I folded a piece of golden yellow ribbon and tied a button around the ribbon with some twine. The ribbon ends are tucked underneath the sentiment panel, leaving the button and looped section visible above the sentiment.
Materials Used:
Right on Target stamp set, Die-namics Feathers and Arrows dies, Blu Raspberry button (My Favorite Things); Harvest Gold and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); My Girl 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); cream twine (Hemptique); corner rounder; foam tape
