Watch Where You're Pointing That Thing
This week’s blogger challenge theme is things with wings. I used one of my big eared bunnies (yes, it has wings!) from The Cat’s Pajamas along with this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches for this fun design.
I colored the bunny from the Feelin' Cupidy set with Copic markers and cut it out with a combination of scissors and a craft knife. It’s attached to a pink and red patterned paper panel that sits on top of a white paper doily. To work with the image, I ended up moving the doily to the right side of the card instead of the left--a little adjustment, but it still follows the basic sketch.
Once the bunny was in place, I ran two strips of decorative tape—a pink dotted one and a narrow red gingham one—across the cardfront underneath it. The “watch where you’re pointing that thing” sentiment is stamped beneath the ends of the tape strips in red ink. I accented the sentiment with a trio of red crystal hearts.
If you’re looking to add a few big eared bunnies to your collection, now’s a great time to do it! The Cat’s Pajamas is having its annual summer sale today through Monday. Everything in the store is 25% off, so hurry up and get shopping!
Materials Used:
Feelin' Cupidy stamp set, Neenah white cardstock (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Satin Red inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Pretty in Pink cardstock (Stampin’ Up); Love Story 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); paper doily (Wilton); red heart crystals (Michaels); pink dotted tape (Freckled Fawn); red gingham tape (Little B); corner rounder; foam tape
