Happy Birthday, Lawnscaping
In honor of the Lawnscaping challenge’s third birthday, the theme for this week’s challenge is celebrations. I used Lawn Fawn’s Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and matching dies for this festive birthday design.
My focal image is the set’s dachshund image. He looks to me like he’s jumping for joy—which is definitely celebratory to me! I colored the image with Copic markers, then die cut the colored image with the matching die. To go with the birthday theme, I topped the image with the birthday hat from the So Much to Say set.
The image is adhered to a light blue circle using dimensional dots. I layered the round panel over a piece of pennant patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Into the Woods paper pad, then added the “happy birthday” sentiment from the So Much to Say set beneath the image to ground it. The sentiment’s stamped in black pigment ink to get that nice, bold look. I matted the panel on blue cardstock, then layered it on a light blue cardfront matching the background behind the dog.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park and So Much to Say stamp sets, Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad, and Critters at the Dog Park dies, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black inks, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); markers (Copic); Die-namics Pierced Circle Stax dies (My Favorite Things)
