Hay There

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I used the sketch along with the Pure Innocence Farmer Girl stamp set.

Hay There-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from My Favorite Things
The little farmer girl was colored with Copic markers and cut out. I used foam tape to adhere her to a round kraft cardstock panel.

To go with the farmer girl, I chose patterned papers that reminded me of things you might see on a farm. I used a piece of distressed wood patterned paper for the large panel on the cardfront, along with a strip of denim patterned paper over that. Each panel was machine stitched to add some contrast. The set’s “hay there” sentiment was stamped on a narrow red cardstock strip using black pigment ink. Once all of the pieces were arranged on a kraft panel, I layered the image panel on top. I dug through my stash and managed to find a few silver faux metal studs to add a finishing touch to the denim patterned paper panel.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Farmer Girl stamp set, Die-namics Pierced Circle Stax die (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); On the Bright Side-One 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); circle die (Spellbinders); silver faux metal stud accents (TPC Studios); sewing machine; foam tape
