Make a Wish

The annual Dare to Get Dirty challenges have started at Splitcoaststampers!  These fun challenges, all hosted by current and former Dirty Girls, are a big thank you to the many loyal SCS fan club members who help to support the site.  If you're not a fan club member, you can find the info here.  And, if you are, here's where you can find the challenges.

Make a Wish card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
This simple star studded design fits two of yesterday's challenges.  It also uses the current sketch from Retro Sketches.  I started off by watercoloring a soft pink background onto a watercolor paper panel.  After it dried, I stamped the "make a wish" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Starry Backdrops set on the watercolored part in Delicata Golden Glitz ink.  Then, I unscrewed the cap from an Angel Pink irRESISTible texture spray bottle and flicked a few dots of the liquid on the panel.  I got a little more heavy-handed than I meant to and got more dots than I'd planned . . . The dots dried quickly and add a nice glossy and raised detail to the panel.  I topped the panel with a trio of die cut gold stars, then layered it on a coordinating pink card base.

Materials Used:
Starry Backdrops stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Delicata Golden Glitz ink, Angel Pink irRESISTible texture spray (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Pink Passion cardstock (Stampin' Up); gold paper (Target); watercolor paper, watercolors (Michaels); stitched star dies (Lil' Inker Designs); foam tape
