You Rule
Here's a simple school themed design for the current Lawnscaping challenge. I used the current sketch from Poppy Sketches as the starting point for my layout.
I started off by adhering a strip of star patterned paper to the bottom of the kraft card base to bring in the pop of pattern that's part of the Poppy Sketches challenge. The patterned paper is topped with a trio of Lawn Fawn images--the owl from the Critters in the Forest set and the apple and ruler from the A Good Apple set. I used dimensional dots to adhere the pieces.
The "you rule" sentiment from the A Good Apple set was stamped in black ink on a narrow strip of yellow cardstock. After I adhered it to the cardfront, I added two staples at the end. I don't use staples on my cards very often, but they seemed like a nice fit for the card's school theme.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest and A Good Apple stamp sets; Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Carta Bella Boy Oh Boy 6x6 paper pad; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); staples
