Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 256-Love Is in the Air

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  This week's sketch calls for a square card.  I  used Across the Miles, one of my favorite older stamp sets from Clear and Simple Stamps, to put this one together.

Love Is in the Air card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps
I stamped the set's hot air balloon image on a matching die cut, then colored the image with Copic markers.  It was adhered to a light blue circle with a debossed dot pattern using foam tape. I die cut a cloud from shimmery white cardstock and tucked it underneath the balloon on the left side of the panel to fill in the panel a bit and give it more of a sky-like appearance.

To make a backdrop for the hot air balloon, I adhered a love-themed patterned paper panel to a light blue card base.  I stamped the set's "love is in the air" sentiment on a red cardstock strip, then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the words.  I adhered the strip over the patterned paper panel, then added the image panel on top.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
